What you’ll do?

  • Strategy: Shape the long-term strategy for engaging and empowering our small and medium-sized (SMB) tours & activities merchants globally, especially. Empower our business development (BD) team to improve productivity and up-skill the BD team globally.
  • Merchant Engagement: Lead and execute scalable engagement initiatives across our SMB merchant base globally. Drive improvements at scale by utilizing multi-channel tools, including our merchant portal, instant messaging, newsletters, and webinars et

  • BD Empowerment: automate BD tasks and improve visibility to supervisors & other stakeholders. Streamline and improve internal processes for BD with different functional stakeholders eg marketing, finance, customer service etc. 

  • Knowledge Empowerment: Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge base, ensuring the BD team has easy, timely access to essential training materials and sales collateral. Build a scalable and evergreen training & quality control program for different career stages of BD colleagues eg onboarding, new skill acquisition, first time people manager etc.

  • Compliance: work closely with internal control, finance and legal teams to improve compliance and control risks

What you’ll need?

  • At least 8 years of experience in sales, business development, partnership, commercial strategy planning, and operations in the online travel agency industry
  • At least 4 years of experience working with small and medium sized tour and activities operators in western destinations, and serving western travellers, both a fast growing area for Klook
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a business development team
  • Track record of designing and implementing cross regional programs
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experience working in a startup is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Eager to work in small team and fast-paced environment
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that’s not afraid to work independently when required
  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural background and in different time zones
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships across all levels and effectively adapt to varied situations
  • Leader with the ability to work across a matrix environment in a fast paced environment and constantly evolving environment
  • Analytical with a strong bias for data-based decisions, able to distill insights with data from multiple sources
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven track record of taking ownership, and delivering results
