Thanksgiving has officially joined the long list of holidays that “won’t be the same” this year. But while big gatherings may not be possible (at least not in person), there’s one Thanksgiving tradition we can fully indulge in anywhere we are: taking a moment to think about what we’re thankful for this year, this month, or even just today. We'll start!

I am so grateful for the "extra family time" this year's given me with my husband and our two kids, who are growing up so quickly! Being able to be there to witness their milestones is so special and important. I also had the chance to do lots of "first-time" activities with them - baking, board games, nature walks, sports, virtual parties and even TikTok! Overall, all the extra family time has been the best part of this year.

I'm thankful for my colleagues! Despite the fact that we haven't been all together for 9 months, I am so grateful for the team we have in Europe and especially the team here in Amsterdam. We have been very supportive of each other during this tough year and are always motivated to create small gatherings in parks or even online. Even if we are further away from each other in Europe, we still stayed very connected and have been there for each other in the bad times and the good times. It is almost going to be a year since our crazy Amsterdam Christmas Party and we cannot wait for this situation to end, to meet again and celebrate!

I'm hugely grateful that I'm able to get out and move my body! During the first lockdown, I started an at-home exercise programme which definitely helped me feel so much better, both physically and mentally. Even just going out for a walk every day and making sure I'm getting some fresh air makes a massive difference to my mental state, especially if you put on a great feel-good playlist while you're out!

First time in my life that I experience eating lunch and dinner with my parents and daughter daily since we're all at home during the lockdown (since March). My dad worked abroad for 15 years and I barely remembered us having a lot of meals together. This is a huge deal for me and definitely one of those things I'll miss once things are back to [the new] normal.
