What you’ll do

  • Operational Support: Perform operational tasks to assist BD team, including activities such as onboarding, content editing, merchant portal data maintenance, and handling merchant inquiries, following established procedures.
  • Merchant engagement: Work closely with merchants to move operational tasks forward (e.g., inventory/pricing updates, content updates, issue resolution). Represent Klook as an ambassador, understand merchant needs, and build trust through clear communication and timely follow-ups.
  • Coordination: Collaborate closely with various stakeholders within the company, including marketing to maximize sales, supplier operations to enhance efficiency, Customer Experience Group to drive satisfaction and repeat business, and finance to ensure accurate payments and minimize risk. Also coordinate with regional/global stakeholders as required to resolve cross-border operational matters.
  • Detailed-oriented work: Ensure precise execution of merchant requests with strong attention to detail. Proactively implement quality checks and process improvements to eliminate errors and drive operational efficiency.
  • Issue handling: Triage and manage operational issues such as merchant inquiries, booking-related incidents, and Customer experience group escalations. Clarify the facts, coordinate stakeholders, propose solutions, and drive closure while documenting learnings to prevent recurrence.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize fundamental BD and merchant operations processes (e.g., SOPs, templates, checklists, tracking dashboards) to improve scalability, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Sales Support: Support BD team by communicating campaign details and updates, and coordinating deal changes with merchants (e.g., discounts, terms, timelines).

What you’ll need

  • Experience: At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in online platforms (e-commerce/marketplace/OTA) and/or travel & mobility products such as car rentals, hotels, attractions, activities, and tours.
  • Language: Fluency in both Japanese and English (Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage, especially for working with regional/global stakeholders).
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to understand merchant requirements, gather product information, and manage client expectations. Curious mindset and active listening to understand merchants, clarify constraints, and propose practical next steps.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage merchant portfolios and operational task pipelines, track progress (e.g., onboarding, data updates, issue resolution), and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Data skills: Comfortable working with spreadsheets and internal management systems. Has a natural curiosity for working with data, systems, and structured inputs (e.g., portal fields, rate/inventory tables, content checklists).
  • Judgement: Ability to prioritize tasks based on strategic importance and potential business impact (e.g., revenue risk, user impact, merchant relationship, operational urgency), and to escalate appropriately when needed.
