Role Summary
This role focuses on developing and expanding local activities and experiences in Japan. The mission is to create exciting travel experiences for both global and local customers by leading a team to build strong partnerships and drive business growth.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and develop compelling product listings across a diverse range of local activities and experiences—from traditional Japanese cultural experiences to seasonal offerings such as diving, hiking, and skiing—by leveraging Klook's technological capabilities and extensive global user base.
Expand supply coverage to capture in-destination demand by sourcing at scale through a variety of online and offline channels, including but not limited to webinars, partner networks, direct outreach
Build strategic partnerships, effectively communicate Klook’s value, and proactively understand market, customers, and merchant needs.
Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-impact business results by setting practical goals, executing strategies, and adjusting plans as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., planning, marketing, supplier operations, customer service, finance) to maximize sales, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in OTA, e-commerce, or a related industry. Proven expertise in business development or strategic planning within these sectors, particularly with diverse product portfolios, is highly preferred.
Strong commercial acumen with solid analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach; comfortable with fast-paced, evolving environments.
Highly collaborative and independent, with a goal-oriented and self-motivated personality.
Globally minded and comfortable working across different cultural backgrounds and time zones.
Fluent in English and Japanese; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
