We are open for the role to be base in either Singapore, Bangkok, or Manila.
Please be advised that the opening is for Assistant Manager, Manager and Senior Manager. Positions will be offered accordingly based on candidates' qualifications and experience.
What will you do:
Objective is to strategise, plan, coordinate, build and strengthen partnerships with DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations e.g. tourism boards) in South East Asia and Oceania to drive Klook's business goals.
Core duties include all steps in the partnership cycle:
Gather intelligence, identify leads and establish contact
Build rapport and understand partners’ objectives, painpoints/challenges and opportunities.
Research about partners and prepare pitching materials
Pitch in person or through emails/ calls
Handle objections and negotiate
Work with internal cross-functional teams (including business development, marketing, legal, finance, PR/comms) to prepare pitch, manage partners, close the deal and ensure high quality delivery and execution of partnership programs
Results reporting for partners
Market intelligence: Gather intelligence from multiple sources, keep track of anything that may affect our partners and our business, and analyse this information to ensure that Klook is able to timely leverage any opportunities and/or manage any threat.
Networking: Network (including by joining business events) to build up your own network of people who may help you in your job.
Influence and Leadership: Influence and coordinate internal teams to secure and implement partnerships Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partnerships are carried out in the most efficient way.
Account Management: Strategically manage DMO accounts to secure and implement partnerships that drive Klook’s business goals.
Negotiation: Negotiate with partners to maximize Klook's interests while maintaining a strong relationship with partners.
Thought leadership: Develop a strong understanding of the industry and an independent view of key issues concerning our partners. Be able to educate and influence them. Build up their trust in our professionalism.
Public speaking: Speak at various events on behalf of Klook (for Senior Manager).
What is required from you:
Assistant Manager / Manager: >3 year work experience, preferably with 1 year in selling, account management, and business development
Manager / Senior Manager: >5 years work experience, preferably with 2 years in selling, account management, and business development.
Experience in travel industry, especially in DMOs and OTAs are highly preferred.
Must be fluent in English and the local working language of the country where the opening is based. Fluency in other SEA languages including Mandarin, Bahasa, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai are highly desirable
Strong communicator in both written and verbal form (in meetings and on stage).
Mature and able to carry business conversations with senior management on the partner side.
Confident, self-motivated and goal-oriented
Global-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds and cross functional units.
A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude and not afraid to work independently when required
Willing to travel when possible (15-30%)
